Great photo by the way. After I reed your comment on my blog I was thinking, I pay $6 a month for 300 meg of storage off telstra and if I start my own web page with them it will cost $10 a month. If I get a dot mac account i 10 gig and the web page for $99 a year. So I am thinking of doing that.

Hi Stephen.
I am in the process of setting up a web account with dot mac...when I complete the set up will endeavour to open an account. I too have the Apple mac as am interested in the graphics. This is an awesome piece of equipment but is not user friendly with bigpond. Leopard will run the PC programmes Vista etc but do not really need to at this stage. The technos at big pond to one of my queries advised they are working on the problems. I can not download movies or music from my pond account but do have an account with itunes which seems to cover it. Of course I do have huge gaps in my knowledge and trying to educate myself a little more in this technological world...I have also discovered some of what can be achieved with Flickr which is so user friendly....a bonus is I am picking up a little Spanish and French....with the help of the Google translator. My next purchase is a graphics programme and am researching what would be the most beneficial to me at this stage. I do enjoy the creations of others in the fantasy genre... describes my mindset to a tee...ha ha

Good morning Elizabeth. Beautiful birds aren't they, very colourful. The photo is so clear it's almost as if you could reach out and touch them.
We have Sulphur Crested Cockatoos that visit a big ghost gum just outside our back fence. They seem to turn up each day late in the afternoon and stay around for an hour or two, but I've never been able to get a decent photo of them. They are extremely noisy birds.

We are privileged in Australia to have such noisy colorful visitors. This pair are away at the moment but usually return with about fifty mates and ask for a little honey when things get tough. Very intelligent animals. Unfortunatly do not see the white cockatoos in this area often. All the black varieties including the endangered glossy black a sub species of which is on Kangaroo Island. I saw a galah dead on the main highway late yesterday afternoon and wondered sadly if it were one of my visitors. The parrots live such a long time around the hundred years or more and must be devastating for one of their family to die. Kind regards, Elizabeth
