MY BEAUTIFUL CITY BOY

Two years ago with some of the children and one adult I was instructing including my grand daughter Sarah. That is me at the back......I guess it is about time I showed my recent face...

You have such lovely photos of your gentleman.

I used to love looking at dressage saddles and boots. I had a black wintec all picked out for my arab boy.

Elizabeth you make it look so easy!

Better go answer your comments on the post below.

Cheers

Cindy

Cindy,
I get a little sad when I look at beautiful City 2000 who made it look easy and I love the grey anglo arabian in your post. I can see you are going to be "back in the saddle".....not as is the Gene Autry song in one of the movies with Burt Reynolds...a completely different meaning....
Kind Regards, Elizabeth.

Hi Elizabeth
I've been visiting your posts for a while now but haven't commented because it's a bit of a hassle to have yet ANOTHER password to remember (wouldn't accept my usual one). But just wanted to say I love your photos and stuff. We miss you over at BigBlog, as dysfunctional as it is.

Your horse photos are just divine. They will inspire all of us half-baked riders to go and find a pony!

Oh Elizabeth! I forgot to pass on my heart felt sadness at your other news (I couldn't find it again, but I understand). At the time I couldn't find the words. Life is full of perils, of the heart, mind and body. You will find happiness again, you are beautiful person, inside and out.

Warm regards,

Cindy

Had to post again, I just saw your photo!

I had pictured you as a brunette for some reason! You are lovely.

And yes, I also forgot, Steve Parish! I bought his photography instructional book about 6 weeks ago. Not too technical, more about images.

Cindy,
I was a brunette and had an unfortunate colour to my hair in that photograph.....bottle blonde.
I do not know if it had occurred naturally but my hair went really white after the accident and I had it blonded....and now needs a little enhansement. That all grew out, the straw that is, and the hair still has some of my original colour so.... coloured a little more subtle these days.
Thank you for your kind words and am a little emotional at the present but will endure. Life takes us on these journeys.....
Kind Regards,
Elizabeth

Evening tazar,
I read of your exploits with the horses with a smile...do so enjoy the exuberance of Oscar. As have mentioned earlier have put a couple of horses into distance training and this morning out of the bushes popped a border collie kelpie cross so excited about the lively horses...apart from nearly being tossed and swearing like a trooper the dog ignored all that and came with...the entire 25 ks!!!!! He peeled off back into the bush where a few hill people live huffing and puffing as was averaging around the 18 ks per hour this morning.
I bet he lies in wait every day now and will have the company whether I like it or not. My border collie is a lady she thinks and turns up her nose at physical activity. She looks at me all innocent like wagging her tail waving me off with the white plume at the tip and once out of sight inside and on my bed.....and this a dog not allowed inside!!who am I kidding

Kind regards,
Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth. Gosh,
I wish Oscar was a lady! Instead he's a bit of a cripple, in a border collie body with a border collie personality. Unfortunately he has hip dysplasia, unusual in BC's but I think it's because here in Darwin they are removed from proper working dogs - with workers the gremlims are pretty quickly removed from the gene pool. But I manage it as best I can with diet (lots of fish, fish oil and glucosamine) and keep him lean, so he does OK. He will have a shortened life no doubt, but makes up for that lost time with amazing personality. I think all border collies are similar in their exuberance.

When I read of your life with horses it always makes me think of all the different lives/paths we could take. If only I had 10 goes at life (maybe I will?). I would be a fisherwoman / horsewoman / station worker / mother of 6 / world traveller / mud wrestler (no, not really) etc. That's what I love about blogging. It gives me an insight into all these varied lives that I can't be living at the moment.....

Hi Elisabeth,

I just popped around to see how my favourite blogster was going. I love seeing the photos of your family and friends (both animal and human). I hope that life is treating you well. Things are going fine with me in spite of the roller coaster ride on the share market.

Take care

Rudy

Rudy,
I had only been thinking of you and was deciding whether or not to try and find your e-mail address in my files, to check if all was well with your world. Am always a little hesitant on this medium as do not wish to intrude on anyone but did wonder.
I am so pleased you did "check in" .
Kind regards,
Elizabeth
