Oh to be playing silly buggers again!

So I believe you're a little chilly at the moment? 28 up here.

Very tragic week for our animals. Paralysis Tick hit all 3, and only 2 survived. ( with a 3 day vet hospital stay). I never had an inkling of just how hostile the bush can be to domestic pets.

We're all heartbroken.

Chilly is an understatement and I am about to set off with the boys camping and competing with a howling westerly.......at this hour of the morning....I think I have a button that says self destruct.....

I am sorry to hear of your animals and the dreaded shell back tick....We have them here also, carried by the native animals. I remember well the paralysis of my dog in Cairns.

The bush in north Queensland can be particularly lethal to humans and animals alike. A price comes with the flamboyant beauty of this county of ours.

I feel for your loss.
Kind regards,
Elizabeth
