The software I am using is Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 which I purchased on impulse at Officeworks and notice that Elements 6.0 is the newest version but when installed this software Adobe provided the programme with heaps of upgrades so am hoping that it has been upgraded to the 6.0 version.
The version I am using is for Macintosh computers and if you are using windows which I think you are you would need the Windows version. This programme cost 129.00. What I was saving for was Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended which retails for $1735. Has very powerful blending tools and is the most superior of photo editing on the market.
Adobe Photoshop CS3 is $899.95 which I was prepared to purchase as a comprise. I have to put a new clutch in my Nissan which will cost around the $2,500 mark so there goes the indulgence of the elegant Adobe software programme. FOR THE MOMENT!!
BUT I think I could justify the purchase if I get an order which is in the pipeline. A Tourist Information centre has asked for a portfolio of what I can do with postcards. Have been selling locally at the Post Office, very small numbers. The Tourist Information Centre is run by a huge Regional Council and should I get the order and the items sell well I will submit a portfolio of photographs of outlying areas for the other Tourist Information centres. Nothing like dreaming!!
I will have to get cracking on the initial portfoilo as have promised to have the samples in on this coming Friday.
