What the kids used to do in the Heat
This is how I am feeling about the local waterhole at the moment...used to yell at my boys get off those rocks...it's OK Ma.....GET DOWN I SAY....plunge splash...when is that kid ever going to come up...my heart rabbiting out of my chest..on one occassion swimming to the base of the waterfall telling the child, teenager, if you do not get off those rocks I am dragging you off......As if...

But it looks so inviting. I bet you all had lots of fun there.
You are one clever bunny the way you have enhanced the rock pool.
When I was a kid growing up in sydney we lived near the bush and a creek. We would dive off the rocks but we knew exactly where we could and could not dive. The water was so clear you could see where the rocks and logs were.
Years later i went back to visit that creek. The bush had turned into a suburb and the creek into a drain but the rocks we jumped from were still there but not the pool.
Diane, This pool is still very clear and is not used as was when my children were teenagers...was more a teenage hangout than young children...and of course I would be mostly the lone mother as was a little concerned with the very deep water and the very high heights the kids would plunge from....Teenagers in this town hardly know it exists it seems and tend to hang out around the streets at night. I suppose parents are afraid as Ihave been a couple of deaths since those days with the water not being as deep as in years gone by.. My grammar is all over the place which is not new but worse than usual...please excuse
it does look inviting and gorgeous
My husband and I were only talking the other day about what dangers we used to put ourselves in when growing up....We didn`t have a care in the world....
You wonder how we did survive...lol
Maybe we knew what we did as kids growing up and that`s why we tend to be over protective of our own kids.....
I would like to say thank you for you wise words about my last post also....
Have a wonderful Christmas Lizzie...
It is so inviting and cooool Yevisha
Mandy,
Am sure you have been enjoying your holiday and would love to be at the beach, not the rush rush of our immediate Gold Coast beaches but the slower rhythm of the seaside . I did put in a rather long comment on your post and after thinking about it told myself ahhh come on liz this is a comment section not a essay, for which I apologize but I did feel for you .
Sometimes I get a bee in the bonnet and go on and on but guess you are a little used to me by now...
All the best for the New Year and trust the days ahead are everything you wish.
