Let Me Touch Your Golden Sunlight

Am back in the workforce, working nights in a sad environment, uplifted with the glory of the morning.

Very strange being back in the workplace after nearly two years of looking after my mother who passed away in February.

I work nights and in an endeavor to get my fitness levels back, post stay at home, walk to and from work each morning which involves walking through the bush in the starlight and moonlight and returning home now as the sun rises in the crisper early morning fogs.  Pure magic as the summer turns to the shorter winter days.

This morning experienced the most beautiful light through the fog, rushed home 2 ks of fast walking, grabbed the camera, threw on some whites as had an idea of what I wished to achieve and the fog waited the extra ten minutes I needed to get something like the images I had in mind.  I used in postprocessing a softening of the image to give the ambience.  I will try this again and hopefully at a time when I can utilize the light for more than the 10 minutes.

May your God go with you....

That sure is am uplifting sight and I'm sure you would have many like that in your area. Hopefully those sights can ease the sadness you have to work around.

So sorry to hear that your mum passed away. I do hope that you find joy again soon.

It's wonderful to see you still behind the lense capturing the magic in this world. The sky series in the previous post were just like watrcolours mixing on a page - just so beautiful.

On a lighter note - is that you channeling Stevie Nicks in that photo? (humming Gypsy here....)

Thanks diane b, Cindy, Margaret,
I am in a strange place at the present as may have said recently, the first time since I was 18 that I am entirely on my own and not have babies, responsibility, or the anxiousness of catering for another's cares bar my own. Is quite a daunting experience but a sense of planning is beginning to take seed in my brain.

Next month I shall drive to my birthplace and where I grew up in the Gulf of Carpentaria taking my mother's ashes back to where I believe she was at her absolute best in the remote regions of Australia as a nursing sister. Then I shall drive across the top wherever the whim takes me within the limited time I have as have begun back at work. Before doing this will visit the Blue Mountains where I have never ventured and hike all the walks, the day ones that is so am looking forward to this as well.

Thank you you who have stuck with my on again off again visits to blogland I appreciate your input and feel I know you all quite well...:))

Thank you Lizze,
You have a wonderful time when you go to the Blue Mountains, enjoy your walks there.
Enjoy your time in the Gulf, one place I have yet to visit.
Your sweet mum :) same profession as I, though I did remember that.
Must be a weird feeling to be on your own, so to speak.
Good luck and will be thinking of you whilst you are gone looking forward to your return.
Best wishes,
Margaret

Thinking of you Lizzie, how is your journey to the North progressing? I see that the rain may be easing - hope you are ok and in a happy state of mind.

Not sure if you got the info on the Epson printer - would you like me to email you anything?
