Those King parrots sure are pretty aren't they. We're starting to get them visiting us again after a bit of a break......probably back from their holidays.
Hi Rudy, I love the look of the kings and only visit here occassionaly..a dozen or so visit the neighbour about six ks away and sit on the rope strung up for the clothes in the wet weather The neighbour, Merle, has been feeding them for years so has quite a family dropping in...We are privleged in this country to see such jewels in our back yards. They flash like precious stones...regards, Elizabeth
Evening Yevisha, Thank you..I enjoy these birds, the lorrikeets are the bodgies of the parrot family...are so exhuberant and bossy....you probably would get them in your area.....the kings are endemic to the east coast...and the smaller parrot I am reasonable sure is a fig which I have never seen before am not sure of their habitat .. just came home from work and tried to photograph a frog mouth owl sitting on a give way sign feeding his youngster...no success I am afraid....regards, Elizabeth
