A GREY DAY
Today I collected a gutsy lady from treatment from the cancer ward at the Mater Hospital on a grey and bleak day for more than one reason.......Had to wait some hours as my friend needed more platlets and blood transfusions.......
The undercover cops were racing about with their walkie talkies and the uniformed fellows hared off and had this youth on the ground for some time. I do hope he did something very bad as he looked like a bewildered chinese youth on the ground with no dignity at all with a couple of scruffy looking police officers standing over him and his friends standing a hundred yards off looking like normal university students. Perhaps he is a child murderer or worse I would hope so with the treatment metered out to him. I guess it is easy to judge from the sidelines without knowing the full story. It was a particularly sad day to begin with and found it a grey day in the city.
In a city with over a million people those I came across seemed so alone.....
I felt sad for the birds as well....
Getting back into the mountains....
Bye bye...grey, cold, noisy, grubby and sad...today anyway....

Hi Elizabeth,
It's funny but photo's never seem to be able to bring out the feelings of dread and negativity that one sometimes feels on a grey day. The photo's always seem to make the world look beautiful anyway. I guess that we just immerse our own feelings on the grey day that we find outselves in.
We're an emotional lot. The day can be beautiful and sunny and yet if we are sad then it is still a bad day. The sun continues to shine on both sad and happy people alike.
Maybe tomorrow will be better.
Cheers
Rudy
Hi Lizzie
The gray of a city is the place to hide, not that of the light of the countryside.
Stephen
It was a cold grey day in the city today. Its sounds like you had an emotional day, hope you don't get insomnia tonight. I love listening to the rain on the roof and snuggling under the blankets with a book (or a hunky bloke would do).
How do you get the photos to appear under the text or in the text, without a great deal of hassle?
Rudy,
I think was not the city but my mood.... am fine today
I should not let my emotions shine through though..stoic stoic stoic tell myself.....
Cheers,
Elizabeth.
Have been invited to an educational lecture with Steve Parish....am so looking forward to the experience.back to the city and will be gay gay gay....
Hi Stephen,
Sorry about the downer....I was on the verge of telling the police off but may have been on a bigger downer in the slammer. I do not know the story so will assume they thought the young man was not an innocent.....
Cheers, Lizzie B.
Diane,
What are you talking about you already have a hunky bloke as well as a good book...oh the joy of it...
When you upload the photograph copy the html text...In your draft the photograph appears as text. To copy the text highlight, right click on a PC (I think you use a PC and not an iMac Apple or the other one )and copy. Then delete the text and right click and paste wherever you wish to place the photograph. Clear as mud....someone may know of an easier way but is quite quick. If you wish to put up the animated glittery pictures copy the code not the photograph and paste into the blogger. Cheers Lizzie B.
Thanks Lizzy, I'll give that a try (when I decode what you mean) ha ha.
Hey, Enjoy the lecture from Steve Parish. I love his work and his story books for children.
Hello Elizabeth,
If we take notice we all see dreary days, and they often coincide with awful things that happen to us or others.....natures way I guess.
Take care,
Margaret
Hello Elizabeth.....
Sometimes I agree the police do get a bit heavy handed...Irrelevant of what the perpetrator did....
The weather tends to play a big part on how we feel...I don`t like the city much....Much prefer the burbs....lol
