AUSSIES
Fortunes made and fortunes paid.
Let the polititions and the bankers and the city look up at the wonder of the glow in the skies and I will drown my soul in their beauty and dance in the glow.
My back yard this morning, rainbow lorikeets, bronzwing pigeon, a female, and two male king parrots. Uplifting the wonder of such beauty.

You have a wonderful way with words and how true what you say.
We have the lorikeets and pigeons with a thing on their head that looks like a Kaiser helmet, so Bill calls them Kaiser Helmet Pigeons. We don't get the King parrots unfortunately.
The pidgeons would be either topknot or crested pidgeons...the crested is often called the topknot in error. The crested head thingy comes to a point wheras the topknot head gear is more flat.
I enjoy watching birds and hope to be able to photograph on the wing which I have not been successful with to date...I think I need more powerful lenses and a little more knowledge.
Cheers,
Elizabeth
Those birds are so beautiful. Your blog is wonderful. Thanks for letting me visit.
Lucy,
Thank you for visiting, commenting and it is my pleasure.
Kind regards,
Elizabeth
Pigeon, pigeon...excuse the mis spelling.
Although I am sure spelling does change. I get red lines through "colour" and when type "color" no red line, and "neighbour", and "neighbor". The English language is in constant flux. (an excuse for my mistakes)
MORE wonderful bird captures! (there is a price to pay when I comment on posts in backwards order.)
I finally finished my lori painting, but those King boys have caught my eye!
