The wind is roaring and the air is filled with dust. The sun has been blotted out all day and an eerie glow to the sky.

Its eerie isn't it. We have the same here but its worse in Sydney. My daughter says the sails of the opera house are orange with dust.
Gosh does it affect yout breathing I wonder!
Yes Sydney was a lot redder than this area..and the opera house had many pics on Flickr which down the years will prove interesting I would imagine.
Thank you for dropping by from Diane's blog Coffeedoff and yes my breathing was beginning to wheeze a little towards the end of the day and my eyes red from the grit, house dusty, car dirty, clothes to be washed but this morning is a lot clearer and the awful howling wind has dropped...was something out of a Hollywood disaster film....and I was waiting all day for the hammer to fall.
I worked all night in a lock up facility and everyone was a little crazed overnight, or should I say more crazed than usual, so the phonoma did something to the connections in our brains....Nudy rudies wandering about all night...took a lot of convincing to settle the place down and I am so tired...
you really did not need to know all this, to much information, Diane and Coffeedoff, but I am debriefing and I can see a cup of coffee. Cheers, off to bed well after I feed the people, the dogs the horses the birds....
