Oh no, dinna canna see it?

On an interesting note, I read in the paper that they are now allowing ARABIANS to race. Not just the realm of thoroughbreds anymore.

A Tablelands Arabian Studfarm is setting itself up to train Arab racehorses, up to 5000m.

If I were a LOT of kgs lighter, that could be fun!

It would be fun to ride a horse through the clouds. I like his tail.

The big international stable with the horse that won the Caulfield Cup have stables of racing Arabian horses. A race worth huge dollars for the Arabians is scheduled at Longchamp after the Arc.

The gene pool of the Thoroughbred racehorse is forever shrinking and some enlightened people are upgrading and breeding the Arabians and who knows in 50 years time may have to go back into the Thoroughbred gene pool. Most people involved in Thoroughbred racing are only in for the short haul and not looking to where it is going. In America racing is in the throes of major changes i.e. the banning of drugs mainly steriods which in theory are banned in Australia but in my experience are used in 80 to 90 % of racing horses which is a shame as my staying horses at Group 1 Level and Listed Level were competitive. Just takes longer to condition the horses but I found they could stay racing at their peak for a longer period. Very hard to compete commercially as owners could see trainers getting their horses up in a lot shorter time than I and with a horse that is mediocre in speed would have complaints that x and y trainers would have had it ready to race a month to six weeks earlier than I... which was true. and also the steriods in the horses gives them an edge for the short term wheras my animals could race for several seasons with a new lot of steriod horses to compete against.

I simply refused to use steroids in the animals in my care. Have stupid labels put on me then....not professional..well hello I believe the complete opposite. Forgive me.. my little soap box!!!

Kind regards,

Elizabeth
